gwen tolbert is down in the weather center with change. >> talk about one extreme to the other. let's look at what the highs were yesterday because we broke records at a couple of locations. 93 degrees at national airport. 93 at dulles. and that was a record that was broken. and baltimore 91 degrees. well we're a far cry from that as we move through into the course of today. already starting out very much on the cooler side. we currently have 67 degrees at national airport. only 59 degrees at gaithersburg. and we've got 59 at fredericksberg as well. and 68 degrees at annapolis. our live doppler radar showing you we have a little bit of wet weather moving in across the region. and that is something we're going to keep an eye on during the course of the day. a few light sprinkles right now. we'll see that change during the course of the evening hours. and back to the maps. for today, we're talking over cast highs. high of 71 degrees. almost 20 degrees cooler than yesterday and that's the kind of trend we're looking at. i'll have the details and a look at the five-day later. back t

so that's a good 22-mile back up on 95 and # 95 alone. braddock road jammed up to 66, reports of standing water where they have been doing the hot lane work between arlington and 66. 66 is a mess coming in from manassas all the way toward the capital beltway. crash on the dulles toll road as you approach the exit for hunter mill. that occurred in the airport lane so those lanes are closed. fire and rescue still responding at the scene. into maryland, southbound 270, three separate incidents at falls road and all have cleared. big delays leaving germantown from father hurley into rockville. an accident at 450 moved to the shoulder. 50 is jammed up badly at 704 with an incident in the left lane. more traffic out of riverdale into northeast. slow traffic out of waldorf out of route 5. south of 50 standing water reported there as well. that's a check of your fox 5 on- time traffic. >>> you can track the rain using our radar and check out the traffic cameras and send us your weather photos at myfoxdc.com and look for the links on the home page

one of them involved dogs and cats taken from a medical testing lab in north carolina. the other was pitbulls from what appeared to be a dog fightingring in ohio. >> reporter: maureen, the good things these dogs were brought to our area to be nursed back to health and put up for adoption to local families. we told it appears many of these animals were abused before they were rescued by the humane society in the washington animal rescue league. take a look at this video provided by peta tonight, hard to watch but some of the animals rescued from this medical lab in north carolina were brought to dc. they claim they shot this undercover video inside the lab in gates county, north carolina. on the video peta says you can see dogs, cats and rabbits allegedly miss treated by some of the workers at that lab. today many of those animals were brought here to our area and given medical exams by vets at the washington animal rescue league. >> and what we saw on the video was really nothing short of abuse. it was really deplorable. probably about the worst rescue disaster situatio
